While a distinction must be made between keeping an animal for a person's company or entertainenment from the habit of keeping one as a working animal or as livestock, there is sometimes an overlap. Animals kept as pets on [[Erathia]] seem to vary greatly from one continent to another, and sometimes from one country to another. However, [[Skahns]] are by far the most popular pets, especially the smaller species.
