Otekka is a village located in the western part of [[Aspectdom of Ovgena|Western Ovgena]], in an arm of the [[Umetri]] river. The village belongs to the principality of the upper-Umetri electorate, and serves as a satellite town for [[Horazul]], the electorate's [[Aspia|aspia]].
Otekka is home to about a thousand inhabitants, most of which are fishermen, or craftsmen. It is under the authority of mayor [[Nikkarin]], a cousin of [[Elector]] [[Moekrann]] of Horazul.
Otekka was founded some 300 years ago, and used to serve as a waypoint between the coastal villages located in the low-Umetri region and, the villages in the upper-Umetri region, now in the territory of the [[Protectorate of Ferisbarkat]]. Heavily supported by river traffic. The village is mostly made out of members of the [[Sunlit]] bloodline, coming from the [[Aeri]], with a portion of [[Quiori]] and a few [[Tromeri]].
The village is marked by the smell of fishes, and the noise of many critters prepared here to be sold in the bigger cities as companions. There are several farmers families, that developed in the nearby clearings. The village is mostly built on stilts near the river, to prevent its periods of flood. The farms on the contrary, are slightly more inland, and they are built as dug out lodgings rather than overground. Wood is an abundant commodity, and many trinkets are built out of it. The village is surrounded by the forest, and to this extent, the villagers are at the same used to, and afraid of the creatures living in it. They know its dangers, and don't underestimate it. Farmers are used to having to cross the jungle to reach the village itself.
There is a doctor - who studied in Horazul -, as well as a temple of the [[Thanirist Tone]]. Two [[Maschera|Mascheras]] work the temple.
