In the history of [[Erathia]], the **Reign of Blood** is the most recent age which has lasted for approximately 1574 years and is preceded by the [[Age of Knowledge]]. It began with the [[Scorched Conquest]], and has been marked by an almost uninterrupted series of wars across the planet. The Reign of Blood itself has been divided into the [[Early Reign of Blood|Early]], [[High Reign of Blood|High]] and [[Contemporary Reign of Blood|Contemporary]]. Population decline, urban exodus, invasions, and epidemics begun in the aftermath of the Scorched Conquest (c. ~2nd-7th centuries) and lasted into the High Reign of Blood (c. ~8th-12th centuries). The [[Blaze]] accelerated the downfall of several kingdoms through droughts, violent storms and unexpected wildfires, forcing large-scale movements of tribes towards the cooler areas of the planet, meaning southward for [[Ibune]] and [[Hehikren]], and northward for the [[Daeli]] on [[Jressar]]. The break from the [[Age of Knowledge]] was complete after most of the remnants of the [[Aspectdom of Than]] failed to maintain their structures, and lost their knowledge in the exodus enforced by increased temperatures and irregular weather. During the High Reign of Blood, which we consider to have begun after 860, the population of Ibune increased significantly as technological and agricultural innovations allowed trade to flourish, and the climate change allowed crop yields to increase. *The rest of this article is awaiting further documentation from additional contributors*
