The Five People are the mythological five tribes created by the [[Aspects]] to populate [[Erathia]] as mentioned in the [[Retelling]]. It explains how the Aspects combined their powers in pairs to create the five ethnicities, before binding them to the five gemstones most precious to the Aspects. According to the text, the main characteristics of each people is inherited from these gemstones, from their fierceness, to the colour of their skin, hair and eyes. As scholars, we have to mention that the topic of the Five People is a controversial one as we have two main sources from which all the texts take source. The first one is the [[Retelling]], and the second one is an incomplete book predating the Retelling and the [[Reign of Blood]], written in an old form of the [[Vhalori]] language whose name translates to [[Of Men and Gleams]]. This book links the origin of each of the Five People to a different origin, claiming that they were created by primordial forces completely distinct from the Aspects. Some of these forces are named : Growth, Prudence and Necessity. Following this logic, there should be two additional forces, but their names are not mentioned in the present form of this book. The claims made by Of Men and Gleams and its unknown author are not supported by any other manuscript available to us, but deserve to be mentioned as they oppose the narrative upheld by the [[Thanirist Tone]], the [[Reformism|Reformist Church]] or any of the major branches of [[Thanirism]]. - The [[Ausotri]], whose skin is white white speckles of coulours, born of Opal, created by the [[Celestial Architect]] and the [[Eternal Thought]]. - The [[Aeri]], whose skin is golden, born of Heliodor, created by the [[Golden Herald]] and the [[Great Devourer]] - The [[Sotri]], whose skin is crimson, born of Ruby, created by the [[Fallen Star]] and the [[Crimson Dawn]]. - The [[Quiori]], whose skin is blue, born of Saphire, created by the [[Patient Hand]] and the [[Lonely Seeker]]. - The [[Troemri]], whose skin is yellow-green, born of Olivine, created by the [[Guardian]] and the [[King of Kings]].
