The Amphicti League is a commercial network of merchant guilds and trading counters in [[Ibune]], [[Hehikren]] and [[Jressar]]. It grew from [[Jenburg]] in the early 12th century, before expanding overseas at the end of the [[Pirate Wars]]. The League encompasses over 150 settlements across most modern-day coastal countries and is one of the biggest trading entities in the world. It gained additional economical hegemony in 1554 thanks to the [[Da Qreler Trade Contract]] binding them to the [[Da Qreler family]] from [[Dael Orros]] in exchange for an access to the knowledge acquired by the Da Qreler on the identification of [[Moment]] deposits. Through this alliance, the Amphicti League and the Da Qreler have become the biggest exporter of [[Moment Crystals]] of the planet, and have an almost monopolistic hold on it. They have also funded the [[Moment Research Institute]] in the [[University of Jenburg]] which has helped with the understanding of Moment energy, and the development of its technology.
The Amphicti League is led by a council of merchants whose headquarters are in Jenburg, and whose interests are represented by the [[First Voice]], an ambassador who travels to the various counters to reinforce existing contracts or establishing new relationships. The First Voice is often considered the most influential individual of the League, and this title is often associated to the glorious actions of the League.
While the Amphicti League is not a singular commercial entity and each merchant keeps their own independence and fleet, it is currently estimated that approximately 500 ships are serving under Amphicti pennants. Due to its economic impact on local urban areas, many cities have adopted the colours of the Amphicti league to represent their membership or aligned interests - to the dismay of many leaders. This shift in allegiances and the League's ability to protect its overseas interests through their armed forces has created troubles in several nations, such as [[Osha]] and [[Eshanaedor]]. Both countries have seen cities defect to the League over the past forty years.
